This course will prepare you for your 9th grade AP Human Geography class next year in High School.
Passing this course, along with your four other High School Social Studies classes will earn you the Humanities Distinction when you graduate.
Each six weeks, this course focuses on a different theme: Working like a Geographer; The Physical Environment and Humans; Human Geographic Patterns and Processes; Culture: Characteristics and Patterns; Political and Economic Systems; and Globalization.
This course utilizes the ArcGIS mapping system and requires at least one DBQ (Document Based Question) Essay per six weeks. These DBQ Essays prepare you for that portion of your AP tests in High School.
*This is a High School Elective credit class.
