3rd grade

Hello students, Welcome to 3rd grade! My name is Donelle Bratton. I was born and raised in a small town in Kansas. After high school, I left Kansas to attend Grambling State University, where I became certified to teach you guys. I taught in Louisiana for three years before settling here in Texas. I've been an educator for 20 years and am excited every year about getting to ignite a fire for education in the eyes of my students. Although this year will begin different, please know that I'm never more than a phone call away to assist you in anyway I can. Remember this quote, "Excellence is not being the best; it is doing YOUR best." Even though we are having school in the comfort of our home, I want your best everyday! Hello amazing 3rd graders. I am super excited to be your teacher this year. I know that starting virtually will be challenging, but I believe we can make this a extraordinary experience by getting to know each other.

This is my 20th year in education. I have taught 1st - 5th grade as well as adventuring out of the classroom for two years as a Data Analyst/Reading Coach. My true passion is being in the classroom teaching. I have been teaching 3rd grade for six years.
