Hi first grade students and parents! My name is Ms. Herrera. I was born and raised in San Antonio, TX and moved to Fort Worth one year ago!

My boyfriend and I have 2 dogs, 1 cat and I am currently 6 months pregnant with our first child! It’s a boy! I graduated from Texas A&M Corpus Christi in 2017! This is my 4th year teaching and my first year teaching 1st grade!

I am so excited for this year and can’t wait to see how we all grow together!

¡Hola! Yo nací en Medellín, Colombia y vine a los Estados Unidos cuando tenía 13 años. Estudié en la universidad del Norte de Texas Biología y Psicología. Soy la primera en mi familia quien se graduó de la escuela secundaria y universidad. Tengo dos adorables hijas Crystal tiene 21 años y Elena tiene 4 años de edad. Me encanta pasar tiempo con mis hijas, hacer arte y estar en la naturaleza. Eh sido maestra bilingüe por más de 6 años. Me fascina ser maestra y enseñar como a la vez aprender con mis estudiantes y sus familias. Espero trabajar muy duro con todos ustedes todo el año para el bienestar de los niños. About Mrs. Prewitt

I was born in Medellín, Colombia and came to the United States when I was 13 years old and spoke no English. I received my Bachelors degrees on Biology and Psychology from the University of North Texas in Denton. I am a first generation high school and College student. I have two wonderful daughters Crystal is 21 and Elena is 4. I love to spend time with my daughters, do arts and crafts as well as nature. I have been a bilingual teacher for over 6 years. I love being a teacher and teaching as well as learning with my students and their families. I also love Minnie Mouse!
