Lights, darkness, eyeballs and one way mirrors. That’s what science class has been all about so far. Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays are filled with these elements along with funny jokes, stories, and of course technical difficulties. Behind all the science is the class that makes it all happen; the "dream team”.
Meet the “Scientists”
This class is NOT your average class. We don’t just sit down and listen to our teacher go on and on and on about light and eyes. We have heated conversations, funny setbacks, and groundbreaking discussions. This is the only class we have ever seen that can spend an entire class period talking about what color an arrow should be. Although, in order to have these, we must have amazing scientists. Which, which we do, (partly). I have interviewed 2 fellow students to see what they think of our class.
Question 1: What have you learned from science class? Do you like our teacher/class/team?
Shanelle Phillips responded with,
“I have learned so much about how light travels, how our eyes work, and how to participate better with a teacher and classmates. I love our teacher, class, and team so much! It's my favorite class.”
Adele Rodriguez also had a great answer,
“I have learned a lot about things I never thought about and how to give feedback whetherweather I agree or not and how to take feedback from other people . Yes I love our class, team, and teacher.”
Question 2: Do you think this is a class you would like to do again?
Adele said,
“Yes.”
Shanelle said,
“I totally would love to do this class every year! It rocks!”
Final question: what do you think about science class? Is it a class you think everyone needs?
Adele responded with,
“I believe that science class is a much needed class!”
And Shanelle said,
“This science class has a great curriculum and a teacher who encourages us students to form our own ideas about topics and fully understand the topics in a way we understand.”
Science class has shaped us to be the students we are meant to be. Our teacher Dustin Degeorge (shout out to Dustin we love him) has made science a topic that is now fun and interesting and silly. And when the light rays come off the light source, bounce off our computer and into our eyes, our brain processes a class that we will never forget.
