Whales, Fish, And Lots More

My name is Josiah Stromberg. I am a 13 year old boy in 8th grade who lives in Azalea, Oregon. I enjoy writing creative essays and other forms of writing. I also really like playing baseball and running cross country. In my free time I really enjoy fishing, like bass fishing or deep sea fishing. Really any type of fishing. I hope to become a professional baseball player or even just make it to college ball. If that doesn't happen, I hope to become a commercial fisherman.

During summer I went on a tuna trip in Winchester Bay and we went out 60 miles off the coast! Halfway through I saw a whale jump and I also handfed seals. For five hours we waited for a bite… and then suddenly a 35 pound tuna took the bait. Although I didn't reel that tuna it was better than just sitting. Soon after, I hooked into a 25 pound tuna. When we got to the dock we cleaned the tuna and put the meat in a cooler. I came home with a hefty chunk of meat.
