Ditch The Keyboard, Use Your Voice!
Keyboard’s can get frustrating. It takes a long time to type, you are easily prone to errors, and it’s not very ergonomic. A quick and easy alternative is to use a tool in google docs to type out your message. This is called Voice Typing in google docs.
To access this, click on "Tools", then "Voice Typing".
Your computer might ask for access to your microphone. Press on “Allow” and then a microphone symbol will appear to the left side of your document. Click on the microphone and say what you want to be typed in a normal volume and pace.
You are also able to speak in several different languages, such as arabic, chinese, and italian. If you happen to make a mistake when you speak, or the voice typing interprets what you said incorrectly, you can move your cursor to the mistake and fix it without turning off the microphone. After you correct the mistake, move the cursor back to where you want to continue typing. You can also add punctuation by saying the correct phrase, such as “Period” and “New Paragraph”. You are also able to use certain voice commands to format and edit your document. Commands Like “Italics”, “All Caps”, and “Increase font size” are few of the hundreds that you can use to edit your document hands free.
