Todoist

Todoist is a task management software that can be used to write out all your tasks onto your online to-do list anytime or anywhere. All data is stored and secured on your todoist account, and with real-time sync, your to-do list can be accessed on all your devices.

Create Account and Sign In

First, go to https://todoist.com/app?lang=en and sign in or make an account. You also have the option to register quickly using Google Log-in.

Creating Projects

Click the “plus” button under the Projects header. Enter a name for the project and click “Add Project”.

Adding Sub-Projects

You can also add a sub-project to create more manageable sections. To do so, click on the arrow when entering the project name.

Adding Tasks

Under each project, you can add tasks. Click on the “+ add task” option, or you can add a task by simply typing the key “q”.

Scheduling Tasks

You can also set a due date by clicking on the schedule icon. There is also the option to enter keywords such as tomorrow, today, every day or every 3 days.

Organizing Tasks and Projects

Assign each task to a project by clicking the notebook icon.

Organizing by Priority

Assign each task a priority level by clicking on the flag and selecting one of the three options (priority 1, priority 2, priority 3)

Adding Subtasks

To make each task more doable, add subtasks. To do so, create a task and click the 6 circles on the right side of the task name, and drag it to the right.

Viewing Tasks

You can view your tasks under the tab titled “Today”, or look at the tab titled “Next 7 Days”. In both sections, tasks are organized by assigned priority level.

Completing Tasks

To indicate a completed task, click on the circle beside the task name and a check mark will appear.
