The TDSB GSA Network is a space for 2SLGBTQIAP+ students, staff, and their allies in the TDSB to find community and resources.
In the Fall of 2022, students from Gender and Sexuality Alliances (GSAs) across the board gathered at Forest Valley Outdoor Education Centre to participate in their Queer Nature program. Students participated in a walk in the forest, had lunch around campfires, and participated in workshops in the afternoon including mindfulness, leadership, and watercolour painting.
Each year, the GSA Network marks Trans Day of Remembrance with a virtual gathering for students and staff to mourn those we have lost to transphobic violence and to affirm the identities of trans people. Students and staff also observe Trans Day of Remembrance in their schools with gatherings, announcements, moments of silence, displays, and more.
In February 2021 as part of Black History Month, the TDSB GSA Network hosted a presentation delivered by LeRoi Newbold and Twysted Miyake-Mugler on Black Queer and Trans History.
In February 2021, Planned Parenthood Toronto delivered a virtual sex education presentation to the GSA Network. The talk addressed questions about gender, sexuality, STIs, pregnancy, relationships, and more.
