Skills Assessment
The Employability Skills 2000+ pamphlet lists the many attributes employers are looking for. Â
These skills you need to enter, stay in, and progress in the world of work—whether you work on your own or as part of a team.  Note there are three main areas:Â
1. Fundamental Skills                                                                                The skills needed as a basis for further developmentÂ
2. Personal Management Skills                                                                       The personal skills, attitudes, and behaviours that drive one’s potential for growthÂ
3. Teamwork Skills                                                                                  The skills and attributes needed to contribute productively.Â
Read over the pamphlet and highlight those skills that you have. Consider those that you haven't acquired at this point and make it a goal to develop these skills through co-op. List 5 skills you need and what you plan to do to get them. Show your teacher your highlighted list, plus your 5 typed out goals, when you are done. Use your highlighted skills on your resume.
