The Grade 10 TOPS students return to Camp Pinecrest for a second four-day trip led by teachers and senior students. This time, they learn more about field testing, navigation, and survival skills. In a hike through the woods, students navigate to various sites to conduct experiments testing the conditions of the water and soil for pH, nitrates, phosphates, and temperature. They pitch their tents under the stars for a night and cook their own meals over a campfire. When they return, they analyze their data to draw conclusions about the health of the ecosystem!
