One neat revelation we have had from our inquiry stations is that our Green spiles produce 13% more sap than our white spiles. Who would have thought the colour of a spout we put in the trees changes the amounts that come out of them!? We have found consistently that green spouts outperform our white from our data below. As similarly found in this article, the researchers explain that the darker colours warm up the tree in cold weather increasing sap flow. Click the link in the gold bar below for more inquiries!
