Rocks and minerals bring wonder, energy and resources to our lives. The Anishinaabe consider rocks (asiniig) to be our grandfathers. Animate objects that we can learn from. Indeed we can learn from rocks and the land, and they can tell us many, many stories. Hopefully this website can open your eyes to some of these stories and how to interpret what rocks can share with us.

You can explore this website and find the wonders in identifying rocks and minerals, seeing what minerals you use at home, and discovering the world of fossils through games, inquiry and videos.
