Simon Says
Attached is a list of movements for the game Simon Says. Please select movements that you feel you (or your child) is able to do. To play Simon says, one person is designated to be Simon, the others are the players. Have the players stand in front of Simon. Simon tells the players what they must do. However, the players must only listen to commands that begin with the words “Simon Says.” If Simon says, “Simon says do 5 jumping jacks,” then the players must do 5 jumping jacks. If Simon says, “do 5 jumping jacks,” without first saying “Simon says,” the players must not complete the 5 jumping jacks. The players who do the 5 jumping jacks are out. The last person is the winner. Feel free to come up with your own movements as well.

This activity is just like the hand game rock, paper, scissors, but instead you will be using your body to create a rock, paper and scissors. Attached are the instructions.

Roll The Dice
Print off the attached documents. Cut the cubes out and fold along the lines and tape together. Roll both dice. One dice is the fitness movements. Perform the fitness movement it lands on. The other one dice is the number of times you need to complete the fitness movement. Take turns. When someone is tired, they are out. Last person playing is the winner. I have also included a blank cube in case you would like to create your own.

60 Seconds
You have 60 seconds to complete each fitness movement. The goal is to perform as many as you can within 60 seconds and record it for each one. Take a 60 second break between each one (or longer if needed) and continue with the next movement. Try this three times today, once in the morning, afternoon and in the evening. Print the “Fitness Fortune" document below. Cut the fitness tasks into strips. Fold the strips up into little squares and place them into a little container or a pile on the floor. Remembrance Game Fitness Edition
Attached are fitness cards for this activity. This game is very similar to the remembrance game. Print the cards and cut them out. Place the cards face down. Turn over any two cards. If the two cards are a match, keep them. You must also complete the fitness movement displayed on the matched cards. If they don’t match, turn them back over and the next person gets a turn. The person with the most matches wins as they did the most amount of exercise.
Also, continue to use the skills and fitness calendars daily.

Activity: Playing Card Fitness
Grab a deck of cards and get the whole family to play. Remove all jacks, queens and kings from the deck of cards. Divide the deck of cards between everyone who is playing. One person at a time will flip a card and based on the number displayed on the card, you are to complete a stretch or a fitness movement that corresponds with the numbers below. Also, the number on the card is the number of times you need to complete the stretch or fitness movement.
2- 2 different stretches of your choice but hold each stretch for 30 seconds
3- Stand up tall and then bend over to touch your toes 3 times
4- Pretend to jump rope
5- Squats
6- Star jumps
7- High knees
8- Mountain climbers
