One of the most important things we can do to stay healthy is wash our hands and don’t touch our faces! Here is a super fun song about washing our hands. Follow the actions, learn to sing along and groove to the beat!
Right now we should all wear masks too (draw a picture on it) and stay apart from people you do not live with.
What does your mask look like?
Did you know that Ms. Leverton is making masks for Michael Garron Hospital?
She has sewn 50 masks.
Hey all my kindies!
This week’s theme is Spring!
What I like best about Spring is when the beautiful flowers start to bloom.
Click below to find a song about 5 Little Flowers for you to sing along with.
Next, this is a song, a really fun one about taking care of ourselves. It might be a little hard, but it is so much fun! It is written and led by a great singer and vocal coach called Cheryl Porter.
Greetings my Kindergartens,
This week our lesson is about bees! I get a lot of bees in my garden and there are many different kinds that come for visits. My favourite thing is when the Honey Bees buzz around the flowers to get pollen and their legs look so puffy and yellow from it all.
This week I want you to get a big piece of paper and draw lots of flowers on it-all over the page. Then play the song linked here.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M93qXQWaBdE
While the song is playing, and using a pencil or black crayon, make swirly curvy lines to link the flowers as if you are a bee collecting pollen.
You can also pretend to be a bee and “buzz” around your home.
Have fun! I miss you so much you special wonderful students!
Love Mrs. Johnson
Do you remember RUNWAY in the music room? How about the animal babies with their families book? Well, attached by link you will find the song WE ARE FAMILY! We can clap, snap and slide down a pretend runway while you sing along. Just remember to sing brothers too!
Fun Fact: When I was around 13 years old my dad took me to a very small concert that Sister Sledge were performing. We got invited to go back stage to their dressing room and meet them. They were super nice. There's a photo of them below!

Can any of you guess the tune that this song is sung to? Here's a clue JINGLE...

Greetings Boys and Girls!
Did you know everyone has a talent? Something you really like and maybe something you are really good at. People all around the world celebrate things that are the same and the things that are different from others too. I chose this song because it celebrates boys and girls around the world. Play and sing along, or clap along. Notice where all the boys and girls are all from. Don't forget your cups!
Celebrate your own talents!

Hello Boys and Girls,
Let’s do some music, arts and crafts. We have been singing Robin in the Rain for a while and using gestures and movements while we sing.
Here is a link to show you how to make a puppet theater.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4kTNLmAhnk
Can you try to make some little stick puppets? Draw, colour them in and cut them out. Can you draw a Robin, A Rain Cloud, A Worm, An Umbrella? Just tape them to a popsicle stick or spoon or rulers.
Then do a little puppet show with them while singing along with the song. Have fun!

Old MacDonald had a Fruit Farm!
So great to be with you again! Remember this song? How about the actions? I have provided a sheet of fruit for you to print off and colour. If you don’t have a printer, that’s okay. Have someone work with you. They can choose the fruit by pointing at the screen. If you print off, colour them and then cut them out. Put them into a small box or an envelope and pull one out every new verse. Why not work with someone and teach them the song and actions. There might even be some fruit on the page that we haven’t done. Why don’t you figure out what they are and come up with your own actions?
The basic song goes like:
Old MacDonald had a FRUIT farm ee ii ee ii oo
And on that farm, he grew some pick a fruit and call it out
ee ii ee ii oo
With an make the noise and do the fruit action ee ii ee ii oo
Repeat remembering to add the fruits all together.
Big finish-sing: He ate fruit salad!!!!!!!! Using your jazz hands
For extra fun…
I have also attached a word sheet with pictures-see if you can print out the names of the fruit.
Parents and Caregivers,
Please read these instructions out loud to your child and free to video your child doing part of this and I will see about publishing it on your child’s room’s site. You can also do this and share only with me and/or you send a photo and make a gallery. As for the work sheet this is just to extend their literacy. You can photo and send me a copy of the completed sheet. I hope this first “assignment” works out well on line. Your feedback is valued. Thank you for all your work with your child. It takes a village.

There's lots of things with which I'm blessed, but of all of them this one's the best. To have a friend like you!
