Summer School General Information
Check TDSB ConEd or eLearning websites Important Dates/Key Dates pages to learn when you should expect welcome emails and updates.
Contact these departments if you have questions that aren't answered on their websites.
Summer School Enrollment
July ConEd summer school and eLearning is closed.
Credit Recovery is open till June 26. List of available courses here. Sign up here.
August eLearning is open. List of available courses here. Sign up here.
Make sure you submit Parent Permission to us in order to complete your summer school registration.
Summer School Dropping
Until the end of the school year, your parent/guardian must email your counsellor to let them know you no longer want a summer course that you signed up for.
Make sure they include your first and last name as well as the course you want to drop.
During the summer you can drop through either the eLearning or ConEd website.
Summer School Achievement
Counsellors will review TDSB summer achievement in late August/early September and make timetable changes accordingly.
If you take a NON TDSB summer course, you must forward your final report card to your counsellor so we can add the course to your transcript.
Sem II Course Failures
Once all the marks are finalized counsellors and VPs meet to come up with a plan for each student who failed a course.
Since most summer courses are full, the plan will most likely involve re-taking the course next school year and we will adjust your schedule accordingly. If summer school is an option, we’ll send instructions so you can sign up.
Counsellors will email you and your parent/guardian after Tuesday June 24th with the plan and next steps.
Maintaining a Post-Secondary Offer
If you’re worried you won’t be able to maintain your offer, check your university/college website and reach out to admissions as soon as possible to see if they allow extensions for a summer course.
If they do, you can take/retake a summer course. Most TDSB courses are full. You could look at other boards. Some students choose private schools like Ontario Virtual School or Blyth. NOTE: if getting a nonTDSB credit in the summer, you’ll need to contact the TDSB Transcript Office with your final report card so the course can be added to your transcript.
If your university/college won’t accept a summer course, you can see which university and college programs still have space and apply through OUAC/OCAS to attend a different program in September.
Another option is to give up your offer and postpone post secondary education. You could repeat or take additional 4U/M courses next school year (gap year) at edVance or Adult ed schools like CALC edVance or (if not enrolled in a publicly funded school) through the ILC/TVO.
Your teachers do not have the ability to "bump" your mark so you can meet the conditions of your offer. Please don't ask them.
Next year (26/27) Course Change Requests
The deadline to request a Course Change has passed. We are working on all the requests that were submitted on time.
We will not be taking change requests for semester I courses unless there are extenuating circumstances (summer achievement or missing prerequisites).
Once sem I is underway, students will have most of the semester to request a change to their sem II timetable.
Changes due to failures and summer school will be made by counsellors after final marks are submitted.
Registration for Next Year

We will resume registering new students in September.
