Pencil crayon compositions exhibiting a positive and heartwarming moment, item or concept in our lives.
I chose to create this drawing because I wanted to demonstrate what a sunset at my cottage looks like, from my point of view, litteraly. Even though it happens everyday, I still light up everytime I see it, and it's warm vibrant colours. I usually share this memory with my family which makes it even more special.
I drew this picture thinking about my dream after coming to Toronto.
I choose this because normally I often go on trips with my family. This drawing is about the best moments in a recent family trip I had. The photos in particular were the most memorable parts of the trip.
I chose to create an art piece about fruit because it is a daily part of my life that I look forward to. I think that it is so cool how nature can produce such vibrant and beautiful creations. I love when different fruits go into season and how they represent different periods of time throughout the year.
This piece represents the joy that I feel when looking at myself and friends through the lens of a computer Photo Booth. It brings me joy in the way that it instantly makes you take yourself less seriously, which is something that we need to do more in our lives.
My artwork represents hope, strength, and positivity. The horse symbolizes determination and the ability to keep moving forward through challenges. The bright sunlight in the background shows that there is always a brighter side to every situation.
For this assignment, I decided to draw a memory of the time when my friends, mom, brother, and I went to a Stray Kids concert. It was meaningful to me because we were waiting a couple of years for them to come to Toronto, and they finally did. :) The lyrics in their songs mean a lot to me, and I’m able to relate to a lot of them without feeling “alone” or “the only one” in that situation.
My artwork is about my favourite car, the McLaren F1 1995 in Marlboro white. I love the car's sleek design along with the crazy V12 engine and nearly 600 horsepower. When I first saw it I was in awe. Before then I had never seen a car so elegant. I drew it in a poster style in order to capture its uniqueness and its statistics in a creative way. Every time I think of the car it makes me smile, bringing me to my bright side.
For this assignment, I wanted to pick a moment that's very personal and special to me. So, I picked to draw my grandmother sitting in her home in Portugal making food. Some of my best memories are in that house or by the beach near it where you have to walk past those fields I depict through the windows. I wanted to draw attention to my grandma with the light ray to show she lights up a room.
This piece depicts the moment after a portage on a canoe trip. This moment in the middle of Algonquin represents taking a break and relieving yourself of the responsibilities and stress of the real world, it allows you to connect with the earth. This connection is so important to me, and it reminds me of how small we are in such a big world.
I wanted to draw this picture because when my nana used to live in her old building, I would always go to the pool and swim. Playing with my brother in the pool made me really happy, it was very calming and peaceful. The skylights on the roof, and the peacefulness reminded me of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, so I added their logo floating in the pool. I also thought it looked really cool.
The drawing of my family on vacation represents our annual tradition of travelling, which has become increasingly significant in my life. As my parents and I grow busier with work as years pass, opportunities to spend time with family have become more limited, highlighting the importance of travel and bonding in my family. Overall, travelling together has become an irreplaceable opportunity to preserve our family's closeness -- while also fulfilling my personal dream of travelling the world -- and to ultimately create memorable experiences.
My work is a vivid representation of my memory of my happy place from my vacation in Roatan, Honduras. I visited with my dad and step mom and cousins and I believe it was the best vacation I’ve ever been on even though I was only 7. I remember it like it was yesterday, and it was especially memorable since it was my first tropical vacation. I think I was successful in portraying my drawing to be a destination nobody would say no to going to.
This drawing of food and drinks is to represent my culture. Cuisine is a huge part of Greek culture, as it demonstrates your family's generational recipes. Our food is a way to connect to our ancestors, as general food recipes (like souvlaki) are specific to your family.
My drawing is capturing the moment when you are walking and stumble across a busker, playing beatiful music, and everyone around is dancing and living in the moment.
The artwork I created displays a positive memory when me and my friends hiked up a mountain in Italy. It was really accomplishing to me because I am scared of heights and I got to experience what it felt like to be all the way at the top of the city with people who I've recently met. This memory also carries a sense of trust since I've just met these people a week ago and I decided to hike a mountain with them.
My artwork reflects my enjoyment of the video games series Persona and art coming together in one piece. The bright, vibrant colours show positivity and energy. Overall, it represents confidence in expressing what I enjoy.
The meaning of why I did this piece of art is to show that important memories don't have to be something that's super cool, and extreme. It could be just as simple as a sunset photo with friends that could be a core memory for me.
This piece was inspired by New Brunswick, a place I go to every summer with my family. It's such a special place to me, and when I'm there, it just radiates positivity and happiness. For my drawing, I wanted it to feel dreamlike and reflect the feeling of looking at the sun while holding your hand in front of it.
The message of my artwork is that music can have a positive impact on a person's mood and well-being. The person in the drawing is relaxing and enjoying music, showing how it can provide comfort, peace, Through the bright colours.
This work is about when I comforted my brother at the FNAF movie. I chose this moment because it reminded me of how much I love my brother and how enjoyable and warm it is to be around him. I think I conveyed the more emotional parts, like feeling warm and being around him having a more childlike feeling, well in my work.
My work is about the time I spent over the summer when I would go on bike rides around the city. This intersection was my favourite part of the route I regularly took (Broadview and Danforth), because straight ahead was a downhill corridor along Riverdale park E. I wanted to evoke a sense of freedom in my composition.
The sketch I decided to do for this assignment is a heart warming experience I get to do every summer which is travelling to my home country Egypt. Getting to see, not only my family, but my friends as well, while spending a lot of time with them at the beaches is something that makes me feel happy. Eating the food my grandparents prepare for my brothers and I, makes me feel safe and loved.
I chose to draw tacos to represent one of the many memories I have from living in Mexico, like getting tacos at the local market with my dad and brother. I chose to draw something from Mexico because it is the place where I have made many of my favourite memories.
For this assignment I decided to draw me and my sister watching tv. I love to watch new series, however having someone to talk to about it makes the experience so much better. I love starting new series with my sister and that is a positive aspect in my life I appreciate.
This piece shows how passionate I am about dance, mainly focusing on ballet. In my art work I showed my exam certificate which shows I got distinction on my previous exam. I've been training for a year to accomplish this and I felt so proud and wanted to express in my drawing my accomplishments and special moments.
My 'bright side' is a computer screen, not in a chronically online way, but I found it best to show all the stuff I enjoy with photos or video games. Overwatch.., prime bedwars, concerts, and memories with friends. The home screen is me with just a figure filled with shapes and effects and covered by another tab because it's not supposed to be anyone specific, just to represent someone because there's always someone for me I feel.
My artwork represents inner peace and self-reflection. The lotus flower symbolizes growth and resilience, showing that people can overcome challenges and become stronger.
I chose to draw a rocket ship with a sunrise in the background because I love space and enjoy learning about it. I find rocket launches really exciting and I always try to watch them whenever I can. Some of the launches that I have watched have happened early in the morning, so that's why I added a sunrise in the drawing. It makes it feel more realistic and meaningful to me.
I chose to draw a scene of my cousins and I on Christmas day opening gifts. It's a yearly tradition for everyone to come over to my house. We always have a huge lunch, and end up opening gifts together. It's my favourite holiday of the year and every year is very memorable.
This piece represents a very special time to me; The times me and my mom would garden in our backyard. These memories are particularly special to me because it reminds me of summer time and my childhood. I want to depict happiness and positivity in the drawing.
Words words words words words words For my art I decided to draw a couple of things that make me happy. Journaling has always been one of my biggest hobbies since I was little. Writing has become an escape for me for many years, it's a place I can go to with no judgement and freedom to say whatever I need to get off my back. This alone makes my journal very special to me. Sometimes it's very hard for me to talk to people no matter how serious something might be or how silly, happy or sad, writing down my memories or feelings has become very helpful for me throughout the years when I didn't know where else to go. I also chose to draw a small polaroid beside it, I used to keep a couple of pictures in my old journal when I had a camera but I don't have many of them anymore, one I remember is a small picture I took at Sherkston Shores a couple of years ago, In summer the sunset is really nice and the water from the lake is beautiful, one of my favourite things to do was go swimming by the rocks before it got dark, It's something that I found very relaxing when I used to visit. The other two things I decided to add was coffee and fruit, there's not much of a story behind those drawings because that's just my something I like to eat.
This work shows my reward and achievements in waterpolo. I'm the left you can see two All Star rewards that I got in 2024 and 2025. That shows that I am the best goalie in Canada Waterpolo. On top of the All Star Rewards there are two medals. In 2024 my team won a silver medal at nationals. In 2025 we won the tournament with a gold medal. That shows us that my team improved and got better in working together. In the middle of my art work you will find a red cap number 1. In water polo a red number 1 can is a goalie cap. It shows you my position on the team. Finally on the right there is a printed out screenshot of our last game at nationals where we were losing 8/9 and at the last second I had the ball in my hand and with a decision of shooting the ball in my head. I tied the game and we went to a shootout that we won. This work represents not only me being good at the sport but also what I love and enjoy the most.
My artwork shows a peaceful forest with sunlight shining through the trees to the ground. The message is that the nature can bring feelings of calm, hope, and connection. I want people to feel comforted and reminded of the quiet beauty place found in the natural world.
