Enrichment
Greenwood students have the opportunity to apply their learning in real-world contexts. Learning is not just limited to pen and paper and the four walls of a classroom!
Published Collections of Greenwood Student Poetry, Short Stories and Chapter Books can be borrowed from the school library.
These projects are done in collaboration with Ms. Charlotte Safieh from the TDSB's Newcomer Services.
Each year students enrich their learning in various ways, including:
TDSB ESL speech competition
Creative writing projects in partnership with TDSB Newcomer Services
After school Read Up Club
School Newsletter
LAWS (Law in Action with Students) workshops, mock trials, court house trips and newcomer conference
Poetry in Voice classroom poet visits
Hosting Canadian Citizenship Ceremonies
Digital Learning with ellii.com
Community and School Trips to the Toronto Zoo, Queen’s Park, City Hall, Riverdale Farm, Allan Gardens, Toronto Islands, Evergreen Brickworks, the Distillery District and more!
