Calling all Grades 10, 11 and 12 students who are new to FHCI! If this is your first year at Forest Hill and you are in grades 10, 11 or 12, you are invited to join the New Students to FHCI Luncheon on Tuesday September 22nd at 11:40 a.m. in the library. Pizza will be served and you will have a chance to meet other students! We hope to see you there!

Timetable Change Requests
In order to address any timetable concerns, students will need to book an appointment with Guidance during non-instructional time. The process is as follows:
Visit the guidance office
Add your name to the appointment list.
A Guidance Counsellor will call you out of class to discuss your concern. Please note that if a student is not present in class when called, Guidance will move on to the next student on the list. The last day to request an appointment is Friday, September 11 at 3 p.m.
Our Guidance department will be monitoring the form and will prioritize student needs and begin to meet with students on September 8th. Our guidance department will attempt to meet student requests; however, please note that many of our classes are currently full. Students must follow their current timetable until a change is confirmed with a Guidance Counselor and parent/guardian. This will allow our Guidance department to locate students when a meeting is required to discuss a change.
All students are expected to be full-time students unless there are extenuating circumstances that a parent/guardian has discussed with Administration. Full-time student status means Grade 9, 10, 11 students are registered in 8 courses and Grade 12 students are registered in a minimum of 6 courses.
Reasons for a permitted timetable change:
Grade 9, 10, or 11 students who have less than 8 courses on their timetable. Grade 12 student has less than 6 courses on their timetable or a Grade 12 student on track to graduate in June with 7 or more courses and would like a spare
Student has a course on their timetable for which they have already earned a credit, for example, earned in summer school
Student has failed a course and needs to discuss next steps
Student is missing a pre-requisite for a course
Student requires a specific course for diploma requirements or SHSM program
Only requests listed above will be considered. Changes cannot be accommodated for teacher preference, aligning schedules with friends, or specific placement of spares for Grade 12 students.
Students must follow their assigned timetable until a change is approved by their parent/ guardian, confirmed by a Guidance Counselor and a new timetable has been issued.
