If you are living in the East York area and attending a TDSB school, your Grade 8 school will help you enroll at East York. Course selection will be submitted using myBlueprint and your current school will help complete all required paperwork!
All French Immersion students at Clairlea and D. A. Morrison are designated as within the East York C. I. catchment area.

All students who have arrived in Toronto from either out of country or out of province are required to complete a placement test at a Newcomer Reception Centre.
No need to study! This is an assessment to help match you with the best grade/course type to start your journey here. Counsellors will talk to you about your learning goals during the registration process and help you make a plan to meet your post-secondary requirements. Assessment results are not directive, but will help identify a supportive place to start your education in Ontario.
Newcomers should submit a registration request at East York C. I. (see box above)

The Reception Centre will contact you and invite you to an assessment session
Your results will be shared with the school

NOTE:
East York C. I. is very close to Greenwood Secondary School. Greenwood offers a wide range of ESL supported courses. If you are an early English language learner, you are able to start your courses at Greenwood SS and move to East York CI as your confidence builds. The due date is in January for entry the following September and spaces are extremely limited.
