IEP Accommodations
Does my College provide accommodations like in high school?
Yes, they do. It is called "Accessiblity Services" in college. There is a process in place in order to receive accommodations in your course, it is not automatic. The process can take some time. So the sooner you start, the better.
How can I receive accommodations for my College course?
Each college is different, and we ask that you scroll down to find the college instructions that are applicable to you. If require additional support, please contact our Central Dual Credit teacher at Eric.Lawrence@tdsb.on.ca
How do I get a digital copy of my IEP?
You will need to speak to your guidance counsellor who should be able to send you a secure, digital copy of your IEP. This will be required for all college processes
What should I include in my Email?
Your full name
That you are a dual credit student
The course you are enrolled in
Your college student number (not your TDSB student number)
Attachments: Digital IEP, plus any additional forms as required below
Here is a script:
“Hello, my name is __(your name)__ and I am a TDSB Dual Credit Student enrolled in __(name of your dual credit course)__. I have attached my __(IEP or other supporting documents)__ for your review.
