Publish Your Site

Pre-Publishing Checklist:

Did you:

Proofread and edit your site for grammatical errors etc?
Check any hyperlinks or embedded URLs to be sure they work as intended?
Provide proper credit & citations as needed?
Preview your site for all devices?
Verify that all embedded files are viewable by everyone?
- TIP- open your site in an incognito window (CTRL + SHIFT + N) to check viewability of files OR open the link in a personal Google account ( yours or a friend who is not in TCSNC) If all files are viewable incognito, you are good to go!
- IF a file is not viewable , change the sharing settings of that folder to "Public on the Web" or "Anyone with the link can view" or move it to the folder you created in Drive with those settings. Refresh you rpageand try again.

Let's Publish!

Click ‘publish’-

Name auto-populates- look for blue check

Click ‘MANAGE’
Set DRAFT to "Specific People can Edit' by clicking ‘change'

NOTE- anyone listed by DRAFT can EDIT YOUR SITE!

3. Next to PUBLISHED click 'change'

Choose "Anyone can find and view'

4. Add specific editors or viewers by email address

5. Once published, go to your home page/landing page and get link by clicking link icon at top (do NOT copy URL from URL bar! )

NOTE

if you want the site to be visible to parents and the community, you must choose "Anyone can find and view the published version" for the Published settings

Updating Your Website

NOTE- If you make changes to your site after publishing, they will not go live until you click the "Publish" button again!
Make changes as needed, then click "Publish" and in just a second the changes will appear on your live site.
To see your published site, click the down arrow next to 'publish' and choose 'View Published Site'
