Environmental wellness not only encourages us to interact with our natural surroundings and neighbors, but it also encourages us to continuously promote sustainability so that the surroundings that help us will continue to grow and stay around for a long time. Personal development is often affected by your natural surroundings, so by being open to welcoming sustainable innovation and practices for the entire campus, you are also learning how to take better care of yourself.
The Sustainability Institute at the College of New Jersey: Our mission is to advance sustainable development through research, outreach, and training. We work with local, state, and federal government, as well as the private sector, to help decision makers develop better capacity to understand the long term consequences of their actions, and develop and deploy best practices in a number of policy areas including land use, energy, green infrastructure, among others. The Institute participates on The College of New Jersey’s President’s Commitment to Climate Change (PC3) Committee, a group of TCNJ faculty and students engaged in projects and initiatives working toward climate neutrality for the TCNJ campus.
Facilities Management: Facilities Management is responsible for maintaining, preserving, and enhancing the University’s physical assets, including construction, architecture, ground maintenance, and more.
Environmental wellness is more than taking in all that nature has to offer; it's also about giving back to the community.
