Mr. Mabrucco graduated as an Ontario Scholar from Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts (Drama), with an Ontario Arts Diploma. He received an Honours B.A. in Communication Studies and a B.A. in English from McMaster University. He earned his B.Ed from the University of Ottawa, where he was President of the Student Federation. Mr. Mabrucco completed his M.Ed in Curriculum Studies & Teacher Development, with a focus in Educational Policy, at the University of Toronto.
Mr. Mabrucco completed his Drama training at OISE with Deb Nyman, Larry Swartz, Jonothan Neelands, Bob Barton, and the legendary David Booth. He has taught and performed with: Second City; the National Theatre School Festival; McMaster Musical Theatre (Jesus Christ Superstar, Pippin, Hair); the Canadian Improv Games; City Playhouse Theatre (Damn Yankees); the Toronto Fringe Festival; the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival; the Toronto International Puppet Festival; Catch-23 Improv; and TCDSB Staff Arts (Urinetown). In addition to his work with the TCDSB, Mr. Mabrucco is also a curriculum writer for the National Film Board of Canada, and a mentor with the U of T M.Ed Mentorship program.
Previous to working at Mary Ward CSS, Mr. Mabrucco taught at: Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts, St. Joseph's College School, Bishop Allen Academy, St. Mother Theresa Catholic Academy, Blyth Academy, and the TCDSB Section 23 Program at North York General Hospital. He also helped create the Section 23 / CYIC Summer Treatment Program at St. Nicolas of Bari Elementary School.
