Mary Ward's Drama Program is focused on developing three skills - confidence, communication, and collaboration.
CONFIDENCE - students learn about themselves, their world, and how to deal with it in a creative way
COMMUNICATION - students learn how to speak, listen, ask questions, solve problems, and self-advocate
COLLABORATION - students learn how to work in groups, how to evaluate, and how to show empathy
The Ontario Drama curriculum is organized around the following core concepts:
1) CREATING & PRESENTING - students develop, produce, and perform a variety of dramatic works
2) REFLECTING, RESPONDING, & ANALYZING - students use critical analysis to develop an appreciation for the arts
3) FOUNDATIONS - students learn dramatic forms, conventions, practices, and skills, as well as health & safety
