Summer Transition Program Runs - July 2nd 2025 to July 25th 2025
STEPS TO FOLLOW:
Enclosed you will find the necessary documents to be completed and submitted to finalize the registration process.
Grade 9 Course Selection Sheet. Plan and choose your courses for Grade 9. All Grade 9 students must choose eight courses.
For current Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) student, you are required to follow the steps to complete your course selection VIA myBlueprint website. www.myblueprint.ca
For Non-TCDSB student, complete the grade 9 Course selection form and return it with your package during registration.
Pay the Student Activity Fee of $120.00 through cash on line. For students enrolled in the Regional Arts Program, please remember to also include the $200.00 RAP Activity fee. Instructions will be included. https://tcdsb.schoolcashonline.com/
Register for the Grade 9 Summer Transition Program which will provide an invaluable and fun-filled preparation for high school. The full day program runs during the month of July in which students are able to earn one credit towards their high school diploma. The registration form will be part of the registration package.
Review the uniform policy at Father John Redmond. Students are required to wear the school uniform. All clothing items must be purchased from R.J McCarthy with the exception of shoes and hosiery uniform items. www.mccarthyuniforms.ca

Grade 8 Registration Package Check List – 2025/2026
Use the following checklist to ensure that you have completed ALL the necessary documents for the registration process.
Please return all forms listed below to Father John Redmond School by: February 20th 2025
Student Registration forms (signed and all information verified). Hardcopy of registration forms were delivered to your elementary school.
Please bring proof of address. A copy of your lease/rent agreement, utility, bank, phone, cable, or government bill. NOTE: Driver’s license or Health Card is NOT accepted. For NON TCDSB Students only.
Students birth certificate or passport for verification. For NON TCDSB Students only.
Students born outside of Canada, please bring students passport/immigration paper. You will also be given a 'Confirmation of Entry Form' to complete. Once completed and signed, please return it to Father John Redmond during registration night. All Students
Option Sheet/My Blueprint. Student and parent signature required.

· It is the responsibility of all Father John Redmond students and parents to be aware of and to abide by the Code of Conduct and understand and accept the philosophy of the school and its regulations and to support the school in their enforcement.
· It is the responsibility of the school administration and teachers to be objective and even-handed in the administration of the Code of Conduct, to maintain respect for students and to make communication with parents and students around matters of discipline as open as possible.
· The Provincial Code of Conduct promotes respect within the learning and teaching environment and sets clear provincial standards of behaviour. It specifies the mandatory consequences for student actions that do not comply with these standards.
· The Provincial standards of behaviour apply not only to students but also to all individuals involved in the school system - parents or guardians, volunteers, teachers and other staff members - whether they are on school property or at school-authorized events or activities.
· Students from TCDSB schools will be dealt with as per these government regulations and board policies.

· Attend class regularly and be on time
· Bring the appropriate materials to each class, and follow routines established by each teacher
· Be in proper uniform throughout the day
· Be courteous and respectful in language and behavior to every member of the Father John Redmond community
· Show proper care and regard for school property and the property of others
· Understand that access to Father John Redmond C.S.S. and Regional Arts Centre network and technology resources is a privilege and not a right
· Abide by the Code of Conduct when participating in school field trips, events and tournaments
Offences against others (e.g. – stealing, bullying including cyber-bullying, compromising the safety of others) and offences against the moral standards of the community (e.g. – cheating, hate propaganda, under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs) will not be tolerated. Appropriate disciplinary action will be taken. Consequences are consistent with The Education Act and the Board Safe Schools policies.
The school building and property is a smoke/vape-free zone. Any violation of the Smoke Free Ontario Act policy may result in suspension from school and/or fine from the Public Health Department. www.toronto.ca/health

STUDENT IDENTIFICATION CONSENT FORM – SCHOOL YEAR 2025-26
Under Ontario law, TCDSB is required to inform you about how your child’s personal information is used and disclosed, and to obtain your consent. In the course of your child’s school career, he or she will take part in a variety of school activities which could result in his or her identification.
Examples of these activities include:
• Student work displayed throughout the school, TCDSB community, or shared publicly through science fairs, art projects, etc.
• School events such as track and field, drama productions, awards assemblies, graduations/commencements, school anniversaries, school excursions etc. Classroom learning activities
During school activities your child may be identified and/or his or her name and/or image used in a variety of formats:
Examples include:
• School year books, school and classroom newsletters, class photographs
• TCDSB promotional material, including posters, advertisements, TCDSB website or
TCDSB‐approved social media accounts (ie. Twitter)
• Media stories‐‐print or web‐based for television, radio, Internet, newspaper/magazine
• Audio and video recording devices, including digitally‐enhanced learning tools used for student instruction or teacher training.
