Unit 2: Rethinking the Museum is 4 weeks long and invites students to critically think about the history and purpose of museums.
Students engage in a series of group and individual reflection and writing assignments in addition to 3 weeks of field trip rotations to museums where they can establish their own understanding of the museum’s existing works, how the space functions and for whom, and improve their critical thinking by critiquing the space and its curation.
