Keynote Speaker/Symposium Chair/Panelist: Prof. Dr. Ananda Kumar Palaniappan
Professor Dr Ananda Kumar Palaniappan was formerly an Educational Psychologist at the Faculty of Education, University of Malaya. He currently teaches at Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. He specializes in Creative & Innovative Thinking, Organizational Creativity and Creative Problem-Solving. Dr. Ananda also lectures in Research Methods and Statistics and has been conducting SPSS and AMOS workshops since 1995 for both academic and non-academic researchers in both public and private organizations. He has also conducted workshops and presented papers on Creativity, Organizational Creativity, and Creative Problem Solving for numerous groups including managers, magistrates, legal officers, educational administrators, school principals, teachers and students in Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Spain, UK and the United States of America. He has been consulted on projects by many agencies including the Malaysian Ministry of Education and private research institutions. He is presently involved in several research projects on Creativity, Creative Personality Characteristics, Creative Management and Organizational Behavior. He has published internationally on creativity and on the validation of several instruments measuring Creative Teaching, Creative Management and Creative Personality Characteristics. He has published in many international journals including Perceptual and Motor Skills and Journal of Psychology. Dr. Ananda Kumar Palaniappan is a member of American Psychological Association (APA), American Creativity Association (ACA) and the International Association of Cross-Cultural Psychology (IACCP).
Workshop Speaker/Symposium Co-chair/Panelist: Associate Professor Dr. Lim Teck Hock
Associate Professor Dr Lim Teck Hock is an active researcher with more than 20 years of research experience in the field of nanomaterials and nanotechnology. His work has been published as international patents and as papers in top ISI-indexed journals including ACS NANO (Impact Factor 18) and the Journal of the American Chemical Society (Impact Factor 16). His expertise was recognized by TalentCorp Returning Expert Programme (Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia) which catalyzed his return from New Zealand to serve Malaysia. Lim enjoys collaboration with researchers hailing from Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Lim is an Associate Fellow of ASEAN Academy of Engineering and Technology (AAET), elected Fellow of Institute of Materials, Malaysia and he has been serving as reviewer for ISI journals published by prestige publishers including Wiley, Elsevier and Springer.
Plenary Speaker 1/Panelist: Associate Professor Dr. Daniel Ginting
Assoc. Prof. Dr Daniel Ginting received his doctorate in English Language Teaching from State University in Malang (2015). He is a member of the IMOOC (Indonesian Massive Open Online Course) module development team, initiated by the Regional Language Official (RELO) of the American Embassy, 2016-2017. In 2018, he was the specialist responsible for facilitating IMOOC instructors. He was selected as the best E-Teacher from Indonesia in 2021 by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs. He participated in the summer course program on language assessment at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, USA in 2011 and received a grant from the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs to participate in 2018 TESOL in Chicago. He is the Best Lecturer of Ma Chung University in 2011 and awarded Young Talented Humboldt in 2018. Daniel is currently a Dean at English Letters Study Program, Faculty of Languages and Arts, Universitas Ma Chung, Indonesia.
Plenary Speaker 2/Panelist: Associate Professor Dr. Singhanat Nomnian, SFHEA
Assoc. Prof. Dr Singhanat "Kenny" Nomnian is an Associate Professor and a Chair of a PhD program in Language and Intercultral Communication at Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia, Mahidol University in Thailand. He earned his Ed.D. in TESOL and Applied Linguistics from the University of Leicester, UK. He was awarded Endeavour Postdoctoral Fellowship by the Australian Government to conduct his research on Thai postgraduate students in an Australian university at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). He has recently been certified as Senior Fellow by the UKPSF. He is also currently the President of Thailand TESOL and the editor-in-chief of THAITESOL Journal. His research interests include English language teaching and learning, language education, professional development, digital literacy, and intercultural communication.
Plenary Speaker 3/Workshop Speaker/Panelist: Mr. William Loh Wui Lun
Mr. William Loh Wui Lun joined Emerald Publishing in 2019 as Business Manager. His responsibility is towards the business, sales and marketing in both Malaysia and Brunei markets. Currently, he is the Business Manager cum Customer Success Partner of Emerald Publishing Malaysia. In the short three years in publishing industry, he has been actively engaged with faculty members and researchers around Southeast Asia. He has been invited for various collaboration together, example Publication Talk, workshop for case writing, workshop for book publication, SDG projects and as both speakers and session chair in multiple international conferences. The most recent project headed by William is the Emerald Young Researcher Award 2021. It is a regional award to acknowledge and celebrate success of young researchers, from the Southeast Asia region, on their tremendous effort towards real impact, research impact, sustainability, and community engagement. In Emerald, we believe research is not just about publication but together we can shape the world to a better future.
