Synopsis
The COVID-19 pandemic has upended all aspects of human life around the world. The education sector was not spared. Teaching, learning and management of educational processes were severely affected in a very short time in early 2020. The effects and challenges varied across countries, political ideologies, country economic status as well as their international relations. The solutions employed that were successful or failed were also very also varied across these aspects. This keynote address will provide a fresh look into issues and challenges posed by this pandemic in these areas and provide new perspectives for all educational stakeholders to focus on the new normal and also to prepare for future similar catastrophes.
