With your input, the organizers of the Conference of Spanish in the United States and Spanish in Contact with Other Languages have decided to pursue publishing an edited volume in the Routledge Studies in Hispanic and Lusophone Linguistics series. In addition to having broad appeal among those who submitted their venue preferences, we also appreciate the multidisciplinary approach the series takes that combines theoretical and applied aspects of linguistic study.
We are now soliciting abstracts for inclusion in the edited volume proposal. If you are interested in contributing, please submit your 400-500 word abstract to sius25conference@gmail.com by July 1st, 2025.
Please note that we are only interested in publishing empirical studies (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods) with the goal of creating a unifying theme for the collection. The language of the volume will be English.
Additionally, we should note that initial abstract acceptance does not guarantee inclusion in the volume, as manuscripts will have to pass a double-blind review by at least two reviewers in order to move forward with the publication process.
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We look forward to receiving abstracts from those interested in publishing their SIUS2025 paper with us!
