to Redwood's Music - a creative environment where students can embrace their love of music, grow as performers, and engage with a variety of inspiring experiences. RHS offers a variety of classes that include classical to contemporary. Whether you're an incoming freshman or well into your high school career, consider joining our music program.

Students apply class instruction through performance opportunities, gaining real-world experience and confidence that only comes from being on stage. Students also record in our modern, state-of-the-art recording studio. Music builds community. We work hard, have fun, and are growing the next generation of young musicians. Become a part of this community!

NIGHT OF BLUES

FRIDAY, MARCH 13, 2026

7:00-10:00 pm at the Corte Madera Community Center

Electrifying blues, jazz, and rock performed by RHS musicians
Food from World Wraps and delicious donated desserts
Dancing and a whole night of celebrating our vibrant community

*This event sells out every year, tickets go on sale February 10th!!!

Advance Tickets $15/students, $30/adults* (plus Eventbrite fees)

*Parents/adults are free to time your arrival and will be provided wristbands for re-entry.

All student performers are required to remain on-site for entirety of event and help with teardown/clean-up.

Student attendees can arrive anytime, but will not be allowed re-entry if they leave per Redwood High School rules and regulations.

For APW students, it’s more than musicJoin Redwood High School senior Claire Fago as she reflects on her time participating in the Advanced Performance Workshop program. Fago sits down to discuss what it means to be part of this community and the importance of supporting Redwood’s arts programs, in between a jam session with her fellow classmates and band members.

Give to the RHS Foundation

Did you know the Redwood High School Foundation provides an annual grant to the music department that accounts for more than 85% of the department's operating budget, funding guest artists and performers as well as other departmental supplies and materials? The Foundation has also provided recent funding for new equipment including a drum kit, hard drives, speakers, and a MacBook Pro for student music recording.

The Foundation has been able to provide these critically important funds thanks to the generosity of our donors. We encourage you to donate to the Foundation today so that we can continue to support, not only the music program, but also numerous other vital programs throughout Redwood.
