If you want to take your musical skills even further, join us in Jazz Band to explore this diverse and exciting style of music. 

We play a variety of jazz styles - from swingin’ standards to funky jams - in both a big band setting and small group combos. You’ll develop improvisation skills, get comfortable in a variety of styles, and expand your theoretical knowledge to see how musical elements relate to jazz. 

Our guest artists will connect you will the history of the music and the realities of playing this very special music in the world. We perform several times throughout the year, including our semester concerts and our annual show, Night of Blues. 

Jazz Band meets in the evening, one night a week; students must be concurrently enrolled in one of our band or Performance Workshop classes during the school day to participate in Jazz Band.
