General Questions
How much is the 90-hour Pre-Licensing class?
The cost for our live and online self-paced classes is $599 (including course materials).
The cost for the hybrid class is $725. All materials will be shipped to you, which is included in the course price.
You may pay with a credit/debit card, PayPal or Google Pay.
Please note , taxes and fees may apply based on your location
We do not have any type of payment plans

Who is eligible to get their real estate license?
You must be 18 years of age and have received a high school diploma or GED to apply for your license with the state of Indiana.
If an applicant has a previous felony conviction, and especially if that individual is currently on probation for that offense, the Tucker School of Real Estate encourages the applicant to contact the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency for counsel prior to enrolling in a pre-licensing class.
Anyone who is not a US citizen should personally confirm with the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency if their current status meets the requirements.

Pre-Licensing Class Information
What materials do I need for class?
You will receive your class materials, including a textbook, on the first day of class for the live class.
For the hybrid/zoom class, your materials will be shipped to you. This shipping cost is included in your course price.
You will not receive any materials for the online class, but you can visit our class materials tab to access class handouts and study materials we give out to our live/hybrid students.
What happens if I have to miss a class?
You are allowed to miss no more than 20% of class sessions, meaning you must be present for at least 80% of the class. If you miss more than this amount (set by the state), you will need to retake the class at the 50% retake price. Please discuss with your instructor any dates you will need to miss as soon as possible.
Please note: test days usually can not be missed/made up, unless under extenuating circumstances. You must tell your instructor if you need to miss an exam day, or you will be automatically dropped from the class.
Are there resources for if I want or need additional help outside of class?
Yes! We offer weekly office hours, held over zoom by one of our instructors, on Mondays, 6pm-8pm. Office hours are available to all pre-licensing students, including self-paced online students.

Self-Paced Online Pre-Licensing Course
Can I start the online course right away?
Yes, as soon as you pay the $599 course fee, you will create your login information and can immediately access your course.
You will have up to 1 year to complete the course.
Do I get any class materials with the online course?
You do not get a textbook with the online course, but you are able to print or download and save summaries of the online course chapters if you want.
The online course does come with an online state exam prep course that will help better prepare you for the state exam!
You can also download all of our live class materials (handouts, study guides), located under the class materials tab on our website.

Post-Class Information
What happens if I don’t pass the class?
There is no way to fail the online self-paced course, as it is set up to let you take the final exam as many times as you need to in order to make the required 75% passing score.
For our live and hybrid/zoom classes, you will need a total of 225 points across the 3 exams in order to pass the class and receive your certificate. If you don’t reach that total, you will have to retake the course.
For LIVE fail retakes- you may pay a $299.50 fee valid for one year from the original course start date.
For HYBRID fail retakes- you may pay a $362.50 fee valid for one year from the original course start date.
Note: If you pass the class but do not pass the state exam within 1 year of passing your class, you are not eligible for a retake price
What happens after the class? Do you help us get affiliated with a company?
Once you pass the 90 hour pre-licensing course, you will get a certificate that will allow you to take the Indiana state broker licensing exam. After you pass the state exam, you will apply for your license with the state.
Taking a class with the Tucker School does not affect your ability to associate with FC Tucker or any other company. Your instructor or a guest speaker will talk to you during the class about interviewing with brokerages to find the best fit for you.
You are NOT obligated to join Tucker if you take our class.
Post-Licensing Information
When do I take the 30-Hour Post Licensing Course?
You will have two years from the date your license is issued as “active” to complete the 30-hour post-licensing course. We offer this course online. After that two year time period, you will need to take 12 hours of continuing education every year between July 1 and June 30.
Do I need to work under a broker after getting my license?
To activate your license and maintain it in active status, you must work under a broker for two years before going out on your own.
When can I take the 24 hour Managing Broker Course?
You are able to get your managing broker’s license after you have been active and in the business for THREE years or more. Note- this was changed from two to three years in 2025.
You will need to take the 24 hour Managing Broker Course, and then you will send in your certificate from that course with your Managing Broker Application.
There is no fee to hold your own license, and you can also turn in the paperwork with your current broker’s information. The Managing Broker’s license will allow you to start your own company or be independent.
