Struggling with food, body, appearance, and movement is unfortunately a common experience. We live in a society deeply entrenched in diet culture with inaccurate messages and beliefs about food and bodies, which has led people to engage dangerous patterns to change their bodies.
I am a person in eating disorder recovery, which has driven my desire to help others struggling to find freedom. While I consider myself to be solidly in recovery for 10+ years, it was not until I became a therapist in a residential eating disorder facility that I realized that I had still been living in the chains of diet culture and body confinement. I recognized how much I did not know about my eating disorder, about intuitive eating, about body peace, about how much I was still wrapped up in dieting patterns. That realization helped me start my journey towards true body liberation and finding a home in my body.
I am here to support you in your journey to body peace and acceptance, food freedom, and healing from diet culture damage! I truly believe that there is a way that you can find a home within your body and build a compassionate relationship with it. Through debunking diet culture myths, healing from damaging messages you've received about food and your body, uncovering the roots of your eating disorder and how it has helped you, and engaging in experiential challenges, we will uncover the road to recovery and liberation. I center my approach for an intuitive eating, health at every size, fat positive, and radical self-acceptance place. I have experience working with teens and adults in the depths of an eating disorder to those that are navigating recovery to those looking to build more understanding for their past patterns in disordered eating and body concerns that were never addressed or explored.
