Body Acceptance Coaching is designed to help you heal your relationship with your body. We live in a society obsessed with diet culture and entrenched in fatphobia and the oppressive systems fatphobia is rooted in.
We all live in a body that helps us move through the world in the ways we want, and it is difficult to live in a body when our relationship with it has been to change it, dislike it, and avoid it. There is true power that comes from reconnecting with your body and making it your home again (and yes, again, because we were all born loving, enjoying, and listening to our bodies).
You deserve to fiercely and compassionately love your body in its entirety.
Body Acceptance Coaching will provide you with the tools to find joy in your body and think about it outside of its image. We will uncover the progression of being disconnected from your body and find new ways to relate to it. This includes activities like:
Exploring body messages you have received overtime
Identifying ways your body brings you joy
Creating a shame monster
Engaging in exposures
And much more!
The Body Acceptance Coaching program includes 10 60-minute sessions divided up between 8 months. The skills will be taught in 8-monthly sessions and there are an additional 2 sessions for you to utilize as touch-up or fine-tuning sessions or for other potential activities (this can be discussed in an initial consultation). Body Acceptance Coaching is for anyone wanting to discover an unapologetic relationship with their body! Body Acceptance Coaching may not be appropriate for someone who is actively in an eating disorder; this can be explored in an initial consultation.
