Mentor Meetings

Purpose

THS staff provide students with one-on-one help to students for STEP and 13th year planning.

Mentor Agreement

Students need to find a mentor who is on staff at THS.  Please keep in mind that staff are limited to no more than 7 mentees each. After finding a staff member who agrees to mentor, students need to complete the mentor agreement form below.

Mentor Agreement Form - student fills out this form, not the mentor

STEP Mentoring

Students taking AGGI/AP Government on campus will periodically meet with their faculty mentor over the course of the year. Mentors help students reflect on the progress of their plans for the year after high school, as well as providing advice and support.

It is the student's responsibility to schedule Mentor Meetings in advance of deadlines at a time that works for both mentor and mentee. Some mentors may chose to schedule group meetings. To prepare for mentor meetings, students should review the topics for that mentor meeting in advance--see Mentor Meeting Guides below.

For grading, mentors submit a Google Form to social studies teachers. If your mentor needs the link, they can email Mrs. Caughill or Ms. Lindersmith.

If you have questions about mentors, please contact Linda Caughill at lcaughill@tahomasd.us
