Orchestra Auditions

Beginning Strings Classes

There is no audition or experience needed to join the beginning classes starting at age 10.  Instrument evaluations will be August 4, 2025, for fall of 2025.  Sign up link to size instrument choices. If you cannot make August 4, email robin.moreland@tafa.org. Students must be evaluated in order to join the class.

For instrument set up and class orientation.  I will send an email with a sign-up link for a 25-minute time slot. Bring your instrument and I will get it ready with tape and stickers for our first class.  

Concert Orchestra

This audition orchestra is for students who have played at least one year and read music.  Students need to play a one octave D major scale and a music selection that shows their highest level of playing.  A short sight-reading selection will also be heard.  Auditions will be held August 4 from 11:30 to 1:00pm in room 110 at Lake Church. String Orchestra

This audition orchestra is for students who are advanced in their playing and have experience in an orchestra setting.  Students should be prepared to play two octave B flat and D major scales and a music selection that shows their highest level of playing.  A short sight-reading selection will also be heard. Auditions will be held August 4 from 11:30 to 1:00pm in room 110 at Lake Church.  Sign Up Link to Audition
