Chamber Class is designed for intermediate to advanced wind, brass, and percussion instrumentalists. Students will rotate between various small ensembles, including trios, quartets, and quintets, as well as medium-sized instrumental family groups. Each group will rehearse separately and receive guided coaching during class while also engaging in independent rehearsals to develop leadership and musicianship.
Students may have opportunities for outside performances, and participation in the TPSMEA Solo and Ensemble Competition is a required component of the class. Additionally, students are expected to prepare their individual parts outside of class time.
