Sarah Erwin

Hello! My name is Sarah Erwin. I had the privilege of being a student at TAFA, and now am blessed to teach Advanced Art classes. After graduating from TAFA in 2014, I obtained my bachelor’s degree from the College of the Ozarks majoring in Studio Art and Marketing. I believe our creativity comes from the Ultimate Creator. I am passionate about cultivating a love for art in my students and watching them grow artistically. I emphasize a classical teaching approach in my classroom and strive to help students discover their talents and abilities. After teaching in the public-school realm, I am ecstatic to be back where I fell in love with art.

Belinda Harrell

As a veteran homeschool mom/teacher with 26 years under my belt, homeschooling is very near and dear to my heart. Being a part of TAFA gives me the opportunity to continue to support homeschooling and to encourage homeschool students in pursuing their studies to the glory of God. I am a graduate of Baylor University. I enjoy teaching elementary art at TAFA and love to see the students’ confidence grow as they explore and create art!

Kristine Smith

I graduated with the TAFA seniors in 2009 where I had focused on both music and art. I went on to receive degrees in music from The Boston Conservatory and Baylor University. I have many years experience teaching elementary through college age students and I am happy to be back at TAFA teaching both music and art. I believe that God, as the great Creator, has given us the gift of the arts and I am excited to share my love of the arts with my students.

Bethany Wheeler

Bethany Wheeler is a proud fifth generation artist specializing in classical realism. She has trained formally in painting and drawing for five years under masters in Scotland, Italy, and Fort Worth. She is profoundly influence by the work of the Old Masters and preserving the traditions of realism and creating beauty made by the Master. At TAFA, her aim is to inspire students to see how light and shadow are the building blocks of drawing. While pushing students to expand how they see shape, proportions, alignments, value, and edge quality, her classes are to mimic the principles found at the Old Academies that can translate to any form of art the student desires to pursue.
