It is hard to talk about "American culture" because America is a huge, diverse country. Diverse (adjective) means that something has many different parts. America is made up of people of all races, nationalities, and backgrounds. Because America is so diverse, it is difficult to say what American culture really is.

For example, American culture on the West Coast of America, where we live, is very different from American culture on the East Coast, or in the South, or in the Midwest. American immigrant culture is different than Black American culture or White American culture. Even Vietnamese-American culture on the West Coast might be different than Vietnamese-American culture in the American South!
