Our Classroom Chrysalis initiative started the school year off full of wonder and hands on learning! Nineteen homerooms participated in our Classroom Chrysalis program, where they were each delivered their own chrysalis and enclosure to watch. For the next couple of weeks, they could see the transformation happen right in front of their eyes! Once the butterfly emerged, they went out back in our Wings and Wonder Butterfly Garden to release the Monarch butterflies.

In the fall, Monarch butterflies begin their journey migrating to Mexico for the winter. Nineteen of those migrating Monarchs came from Harker School's Butterfly Garden!!
