The District will be assigning an additional maintenance staff member to clean in between sessions. Maintenance staff will clean and disinfect classroom tables, desks, chairs, door handles, push plates, sinks, fixtures and bathrooms.
Instructional Classrooms:
Staff who are assisting in the cleaning of their classrooms will be provided with all necessary cleaning products/supplies. All products used in our schools must be an approved product by the EPA. Staff will also be provided with training.
Evening cleaning:
1. A SWSD maintenance staff member will be assigned to oversee work completed by Andrews Cleaning Company.
2. Task sign off / certification sheet will be posted in each classroom to verify accountability and task completion.
3. Additional daily/evening cleaning tasks will be required this year: telephones, light switches, push plates, keyboards and mice, copiers, appliances, vending machines, etc.
Wednesday Extra Cleaning Day:
Additional cleaning tasks will take place in between Group A and Group B.
2. In addition to the daily cleaning protocols (listed above), the following will be accomplished on Wednesdays:
a. Clean and disinfect hallway walls
b. Clean and disinfect staff desks and chairs including bottoms and legs.
c. Use SPRAYPAK disinfectant after cleaning and disinfecting with Virex ll or Bleach
NOTE: On Friday, District staff will ALSO use the SPRAYPAK disinfectant on all surface areas.
Hand Cleaning Resources:
1. Hand sanitizer and hand sanitizer stations will be provided in multiple locations throughout each school.
