Welcome to Reader's/Writer's Workshop!

My name is Kathleen Madison and I've been a teacher in the Sussex-Wantage Regional School District for 11 years. I started out teaching 6th grade reading and writing, and most recently held the position of Reading Specialist at WES for the past five years.

Reading & Writing Workshop

Our classroom follows the Reading and Writing workshop model. Students will participate in read alouds, mini-lessons, independent practice, small-group instruction, and meaningful discussions. Through reading a variety of texts and writing for meaningful purposes, students will build skills, stamina, and confidence in both content areas.
