Year 5

Week 4 - Monday 11^th May 2020

Dear Year 5,

I hope you and your families are well. I would like to thank all the children who continue doing their work as well as everyone who has been sending me their work. Well-done!

This week we will continue working in Google classroom and will concentrate on the following:

Monday: Literacy – more story telling and writing. We are going to look at a legend about a king and his friends and a certain circular item of furniture.

Wednesday: SPAG – we will explore ambiguity in language and will have a look at Shakespeare’s favourite rhetorical device. In IPC, we will examine the big question: Who should rule?

Friday: Maths – we will look at more complex 3D shapes. In IPC, expect another exciting quiz!

I also have a special surprise: on Friday, at 15.00, we will have a live virtual lesson using Google classroom. The lesson will be about 30 minutes long and you will need to log into your Google classroom at 15.00 on Friday, the 15^th of May. I will send you more details about the lesson on Monday.

I will continue uploading my video lessons to Googleclassroom as well as giving you exercises, worksheets and Accelerated Maths. Also, do not forget about Education City.

Share you work with me and try to do at least a bit of work everyday, including reading! Check Google classroom for videos and assignments on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, if possible.
