This week’s learning activities
Literacy
1- Reading – please keep reading your own books and your AR books (don’t forget to take a test if it’s an AR book).
If you have finished reading your AR books, this link will take you to an online book store where you can borrow books (don’t forget to ask an adult to help you sign in!).
2. Spellings – ask someone to read them and test you on them.
3. Journal- Last week you were asked to describe the highs and lows of home-schooling. This week, can you describe the positives and negatives of life in lockdown?
Your targets
- Use capital letters and full stops
- Use at least 1 fronted adverbial
- Use at least 2 adjectives
- Use at least 2 connectives
- Use joined handwriting
4. Reading comprehension – This activity has been differentiated. If you are in Year 3 click here and here if you are in Year 4.

6. Rising Stars – Click the link for your test. Remember to start by numbering all the lines.
7. SPAG : Prefixes - start by watching this useful short video then login to Education city to find your exercise. Please remember to click on homework in order to complete your work.
Mathematics
1. Timetables - remember you have 4 minutes to complete 60 questions.
2. Our focus is still on decimals and this week we are looking at adding and subtracting decimals.

· Subtracting decimals – Please start here! Then when you are confident, complete this worksheet.
Afterwards, go to Accelerated Maths. Choose your Home 1 Group and complete your exercise then move on to your practice. Please do a minimum of 5 practices.
Please remember that you will always have work on Mathletics and MathsFacts.
Science
