Hello to everyone in Year 2, This is Debbie.
I hope you are all doing well. I really miss you all and hope you are alright. I hope you have been doing some school work …. carefully.
Here are some ideas for you to do this week.
Listen to the story Where The Wild Things Are written by Maurice Sendak
Listen to the story and look carefully at the pictures
Some questions (write the answers on paper or in a book)
1. How do you think Max feels when his mother sends him to his room?
2. Do you think the forest really grew in Max’s room? What do you think happened?
Art
Do you think the wild things are real? Use your imagination and create your own Wild Thing
You can draw it
or
Make a model
or
Make a mask
Writing
Use your imagination and join Max and the Wild things. Write a story about you and Max exploring the forest.
Think of…
How you get there?
What do you all do?
How do you get home?
Then draw a map of your adventure with Max, the boat, the forest and the sea. You can use this map as a starting point or draw your own.
Note to parents: There is a film Where the wild things are. It had really good reviews.
