This week it’s all about the FARM! Here are some exciting suggestions of work to do at home this week! Begin the day with a Cosmic Yoga and a trip down memory lane! Learn and engage in more non-fiction writing about Mudchute Farm near Canary Wharf. Revisit The Three Little Pigs! Enjoy stories about farms. Practice your division skills. Make your own fun map of Mudchute Farm in our Geography lesson. Enjoy many art lessons including drawing farm animals and making origami ducks. Cookery, Dance moves and Keep Fit. In You Choose this week I have introduced Story Club – remember children “you can be different but still be the same”. Listen to this beautiful story Same Difference by Calida Rawles. Remember your Grammar: Always use capital letters at the beginning of your sentences and full stops at the end of your sentences.
Before you write your sentence think about what you want to say. Say the words out loud. Does it make sense children? Always check your writing for spelling mistakes and punctuation.
Instructions:
1. Watch the video about Mudchute City Farm several times before you begin writing your sentences.
2. You can ask a sibling or adult to help you.
3. Make notes on a piece of paper to help you.
4. Please try and write at least 7 full sentences and send them to me.

· Division is the opposite of multiplication.
· Example: If 3 x 10 = 30, what is 30 ÷ by 10? ANSWER: = 3
· Example: If 5 x 10 = 50, what is 50 ÷ by 10? ANSWER: = 5
· Hopefully you know your 10 x table by now lovely childen!
· At SWB we have a cunning method to help us do division calculations as follows:
EXAMPLE: 20 ÷10 = 2
· Write down the 10 x table until you reach 20

Now count how many numbers there are until you reach 20
The answer is 2
EXAMPLE 2: 30 ÷ 10 = 3
· Write down the 10 x table until you reach 30

Now count how many numbers there are until you reach 30
