Good morning from Caroline!
We really miss you! HUGE ‘virtual’ hugs from all your teachers in Year 1/2. I hope you are well and happy, enjoying your time at home with your family. Make sure you are eating well, drinking lots of water and getting enough sleep. I hope that you are still smiling and helping your mums, dads, brothers and sisters. Here are some more very exciting suggestions of work to do at home this week! Have fun making a chocolate bars!!! Art classes and lots more. Don’t forget children, put any work you do in a folder for me to look at when we go back to school. Have a happy and fulfilled week my lovely children, love Caroline xxx

This morning we are going to start our lessons differently. I want you to firstly watch BBC BITESIZE complete lessons.
The BBC Bitesize lessons I want you to pay particular attention to are: English on Nouns and Adjectives (our literacy lesson this week is re-visiting nouns and adjectives); Geography on Local Maps (our geography lesson this week is re-visiting drawing maps. Remember when we made our beautiful maps representing our walk to the River Thames).

Write 5 sentences containing nouns. These can be proper nouns (the name of a person, for example Caroline or the name of a city/place for example London, England etc.)
For example: My teacher’s name is Caroline.
I live in London.
Write 5 sentences containing adjectives. These can be adjectives describing size and adjectives describing feelings.
For example: My cat is enormous.
My mummy is happy.

Now read the words to the poem (see attached PDF).
Read the poem out loud every day.
Write your own poem about chocolate cake or your own favourite cake!
Do your own beautiful picture of your favourite cake (see also the Art lesson below).
Times Tables: please learn 2s, 5s, 10s, 3s and 4s. Ask your family to test you. Practise your tables EVERY DAY children.
This week we are going to revisit Number Bonds.
Please complete the number bonds to 20 worksheets attached. Imagine you are using UNIFIX like you do in school.

Write down the Geographical Features in your area. For example, SWB School, the post box on Salmon Lane, the tree outside your house etc.
Draw a picture of your favourite cake, chocolate or otherwise!!!
