Reception
Hello everyone! We hope you are all keeping safe and well. All of us in the Reception are missing you all lots and lots. We thought it would be nice if we provided you with some online teaching videos and resources to support your weekly activity packs. If some of the activities are too difficult for your child, please don’t feel you have to do them. There will be a variety of videos and resources available for each day. These will be in the areas of literacy, numeracy and wider learning in the afternoons. Some of the activity pack activities will require an adult or sibling to support them but we have also provided activities your child can do by themselves!
Many thanks
The Reception Team

Building on from yesterday, we are going to explore floating and sinking for ourselves!
If you haven’t already, take a look at the Kit and Pup video that explores floating and sinking.
Today, we are going to explore making a paper boat that we can float!
Look at the instruction video and try to make your own paper boat (using the paper provided in your activity packs).
Does it float or sink?
Try following the instructions to make the boat with a different material (tissue, tin foil, tissue paper).
Do these boats float or sink?
