These are creative "kaleidocycles" that are fun to make. I have included the template as a base to work from.

Art Enrichment Learning:
Hello third grade students!
I have been thinking of all of you these days while we are not at school. I hope you are each using your imaginations at home creating wonderful art just like we do in art class together!
I came across this video and thought it would be good to view since we have been studying the artist Van Gogh. The painting you see is the original "Starry Night" painted by Van Gogh in the Museum of Modern Art located in New York City. The people observing the painting are discussing what they think and how they feel as they look at the artwork. One of the women talks about how she sees the painting as someone who works in the field of Space Science.
One of the things I like about looking at Starry Night up close is seeing Van Gogh's brush strokes and how he moved the paint across the canvas. You can see all the texture he created in doing so.
This is where Art and Science come together so well!
Enjoy!

Art Enrichment Learning:
Hello again!
I hope you are all keeping busy and staying healthy!
This is a different kind of video I thought you would like to view. You'll see the people who work at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York put up and take down the work of famous artists. One of them happens to be Van Gogh. You will see Starry Night as well as Monet's famous Water Lilies. Notice the scale/size of the Water Lilies painting! The art must be handled with much care setting up and taking down.
Another interesting point is how the museum plans the layout of the exhibition. You will see how they work in small dimensions planning just what art work will go where within the museum and how to use the space creatively for installing the art.
Hoping one day you can make it to the museum, but in the meantime....
Enjoy!
