Rental & Concert Info

Band students should be practicing at least one hour per week to achieve a minimum of progress in their playing ability.

The more time they spend playing their instrument and reading their concert music the more excitement and motivation they will develop.

In the event of a snow day or delay, the students should be working on their concert music in order not to lose a week of music class.

The title of the book is Standard of Excellence for their particular instrument and they are currently working on selected concert music on pages 6, 7, 8 and 9.

Practice Tips:

Have your instrument and lesson book (preferably on a music stand of some sort) in plain view- say in a designated practice room.

•Have a set practice schedule in order to begin to form consistent practice habits.

•Audiences are a very encouraging way to want to improve your playing ability. You can begin by playing in front of stuffed animals if a real audience intimidates and then proceed to asking family members and friends to participate.

•Private lessons are always encouraged in order gain the most out of a lesson.

•Remember the Rock Star rules: Pay Attention. Participate, Practice makes Progress, Persistence and Patience – they absolutely work!

Thank you for your support and encouragement in this exciting time in their educational development!

Due to the current school closure the spring concert date for both Brown and Luther schools is tentatively set for Wednesday, May 20th at Case high school 6PM. Any changes will be announced as they come in.
